Web Hosting & Domain Names

If you don’t already have a domain name (IE: yourname.com) then you need one pronto! Most web hosts will register your domain name for you when buying hosting. So what is “hosting” exactly? Basically you need to store the files that the run your website on a web server. Web Hosts offer this service for a monthly or annual fee.

So what can you expect to pay? Domain names are typically $10-$20/year and basic hosting can range from $5-$20/mo. This varies, of course, and I’m happy to help you choose the right level for your needs.
